Everest Base Camp Trek in Summer – 16 Days
Experience the World’s Most Iconic Trek in a Peaceful Season
The Everest Base Camp Trek is the #1 most popular trekking route in the world, taking you through the legendary footsteps of Mount Everest (8,848m)—the tallest mountain on Earth. It is a dream trip for adventure seekers and mountain lovers worldwide who wish to witness the majestic Everest as closely as possible through trekking in the Everest region of Nepal.
Trekking to Everest Base Camp in Summer Season
While Everest Base Camp Trek is possible year-round, the main trekking seasons for the best weather and clear mountain views are:
-
Autumn (September to November)
-
Spring (March to May)
Nepal also has two additional trekking seasons:
3. Winter (December to February)
4. Summer/Monsoon (June to August)
This page provides important information for those considering the Everest Base Camp Trek during the Summer or Monsoon season.
Is Everest Base Camp Trek Possible in Summer?
Yes, absolutely!
Although mid-July to mid-September is the peak monsoon period with heavy rainfall, the month of June is generally considered pre-monsoon, offering clear skies, warm temperatures, and long daylight hours. In fact, early July also remains favorable in many years for trekking in the Everest region.
So if you're planning your trek during June or early July, it's still a great time to experience the Everest Base Camp trail.
Is the Price Lower in Summer or Pre-Monsoon?
Yes!
Because summer is considered a low trekking season, we offer special discounts on our regular Everest Base Camp trek package. This not only benefits our trekking guests with lower prices, but also supports our local Sherpa guides and porters by providing continued employment opportunities in the off-season.
Why Choose Summer Trekking? – Our “3L” Concept
We proudly promote our 3L Concept for trekking in the summer or pre-monsoon season:
-
Low Season – Enjoy peaceful trails with minimal crowds
-
Low Price – Special discounted rates on all trekking packages
-
Less Trekkers – More intimate and quiet experience on the trail
Trekking to Everest Base Camp in the summer gives you the chance to enjoy the beauty of the Himalayas without the busy traffic, and with personalized attention from your trekking team.Whether you're an experienced hiker or a first-time Himalayan traveler looking to avoid the crowds, the Everest Base Camp trek in summer is a beautiful and often overlooked option.
