Nepal Bhutan Tour - Day to Day itinerary


A representative and driver from our office will meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel and help you check into your designated hotel. We will arrange a meeting with you at hotel to brief you about your daily activities etc.


Our first destination is Swoyambhunath. This place offers a majestic view of the entire Kathmandu valley. Stupa of Swoyambhunath epitomizes Buddhism. Your guide will enlighten you with detailed historical and cultural information about the place. After this you will visit Living goddess home and Kathmandu Durbar square. Locally this, Old royal palace area is called Basantapur Area or Hanuman dhoka Durbar Square. Our next sightseeing will be at Boudha nath (the biggest & Largest Buddhist Stupa in the World). In this Area, you will visit Buddhist Monastery and stop for lunch Break. If weather is clear you can see nearest Mountain of Kathmandu- Ganesh Himal from top of Restaurant. After Lunch, we will visit Hindus temple Pasupatinath & tour for today is over here. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Nepal Bhutan Tour

Day 03 – Kathmandu – Zhangmu

Head to Koari in the morning, from where you will cross the friendship bridge to Zhangmu after completing all the immigration formalities. There is again a drive to the main Zhangmu center which is around 115 km long and takes around 4 hrs to cover. After arrival, check in at hotel. Enjoy the pleasant Zhangmu climate. Your overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04 – Zhangmu – New Tingri

Drive to Xegar crossing Nyalam (3800 m) and Lulung (5050 m) passes. The journey is an absolute dream for all nature lovers as one gets stunning views of the high Himalayas including the great Mt. Everest. This 8 hrs journey is long but the entire stretch of 242 km is full of wonderful sceneries. On arrival, check in at hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 05 – New Tingri – Shigatse

The day is set for another long journey through the sublime landscapes of Tibet. The distance between New Tingri and Shigatse is around 244 km and it takes around 8 hrs to cover the distance. On arrival, check in at hotel. You will still have half the day with you that you can spend whichever way you want. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 – Shigatse – Gyantse

The distance between Shigatse and Gyantse is not much. The 90 km stretch can easily be covered in 2 hrs. So before leaving Shigatse, we visit the enchanting Tashilhunpo Monastery and the free market. We continue our drive to Gyantse. In the evening, visit the Palkhor Monastery and Kumbum stupa. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 – Gyantse – Lhasa

After a sumptuous Tibetan breakfast, drive towards the capital city of Lhasa. The 8 hrs ride takes you through KARO Pass (5010 m), KAMBA Pass (4794 m) and Yamdruk Lake. The distance is around 259 km. Upon arrival, directly check in at hotel. Remove all the exhaustions of the long drive by resting for the night in the calm atmosphere of the hotel.

Day 08 – In Lhasa

Lhasa is a city full of surprises and fantasies. The day is for exploring the attractions of the city, there will bea a full day sightseeing city tour. Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. Back to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 09 - In Lhasa

Even after a full day of touring inside the city, there are still a lot of places that are yet to be covered. This day as well is set aside for sightseeing inside the city. Explore Sera Monastery, Drepung Monastery, and Norbulingka. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 – Lhasa – Kathmandu

After breakfast, move on to airport for boarding the flight CA 407 to Kathmandu that leaves Lhasa at 1025 hrs local time and arrives in Kathmandu at 0925 hrs, local Kathmandu Time. In Kathmandu, our guide will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 – Kathmandu – Paro

In time, transfer to airport to board flight KB 205 which departs at 0925 hrs from Kathmandu and arrives at Paro at 1005 hrs. Meeting assistance on arrival and transfer to hotel in Paro. After getting yourself refreshed, visit the renowned Rimpung Dzong, Kyichu Lhakhang, Drgyel Dzong, Dungtsey Lhakhang and Taktsang Monastery. Do not forget to take a calm stroll down the streets of Paro Town. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 12 – Paro – Thimpu

Your day starts with a visit to National Museum. Later, drive to Thimpu which is around 65 km away and it takes around 1 hr to cover the distance. On arrival, check in at hotel. There is still ample of time left in the day, so visit the Memorial Chorten, Tashicho Dzong, Handicrafts Emporium, National Library, Painting School, Traditional Medicine Institute, City View Point, Traditional Paper Factory, Mini Zoo and folk Heritage Museum. After the hectic day of city tour, back to the hotel for a rejuvenating night sleep.

Day 13. Thimphu (Sightseeing) – Paro:

After breakfast, visit the National Library, stocked with ancient Buddhist manuscripts, and the Painting School where traditional art is still kept alive through instructions in the art of painting Thangkas (sacred Buddhist religious scrolls).We can visit in different class rooms, where different students follows a comprehensive course that starts with drawing and progresses through painting, wood and slate curving, and statue making. Visit Traditional Medicine Institute where medicines are prepared according to ancient practices.

After lunch visit Folk Heritage Museum and Handicraft Emporium for the shopping various Bhutanese arts and crafts. In the evening drive to Paro. Dinner and over night in Hotel at Paro.

Day 14 – Paro – Kathmandu

After the breakfast, transfer to airport for boarding the flight KB 206 which leaves Paro at 1140 hrs and reaches Kathmandu at 1225 hrs. You will be picked up by our guide and transferred to hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 15 – Departure Kathmandu

you will be transferred to airport in time for your flight to next destination or your home.
