Annapurna Trekking Testimonials

Subject: A Five Star Recommendation

Being an experienced and trained mountain goer it did not help me at all when it came to planning to go to Nepal after twenty two long years and that too through an agency for the first time. I could not help but being uncertain and skeptic.

Plan was to go for Annapurna Parikrama - Muktinath via Thorung La trek in early September 2009. I did not know Mr. Pasang Sherpa and his company before I found them on the web. But from the very first contact it was a different experience. I found him honest, transparent, and punctual and always giving priority to our angle of view. All my queries and quizzes were promptly and accurately answered, without any hidden agenda. He quoted rates much lower than the other offers, without compromising anything. Even the advance payments were uncomplicated and absolutely safe. My uncertainty and skepticism were already waning even before we started trek.

From the moment we landed in Nepal and till we left seventeen days later, we were well looked after, everything was as promised and superbly arranged and well executed. Uncertainty and skepticism were slowly but surely replaced with utter loyalty and blind dependence. Our guide-cum-porter Mingmar Sherpa was a gem of a companion. He was knowledgeable about the terrain and the route, ever smiling, extremely enthusiastic and hard working. Our well being and satisfaction was his concern for all his awake moments. He literally forced us to some unthought-of luxuries in a mountain trek and we felt pampered all the way.

Annapurna Parikrama : Muktinath via Thorung La is already known to be one of the best treks of the world, it was tailor made even better for us. Nepal after twenty two years has not only given me another unforgettable mountain experience but a few more friends for life, whom I will always cherish to reunite. Sooner or later and sooner the better.

I will definitely give a FIVE STAR recommendation to Pasang and his company for anyone wishing to visit Nepal for a trek or even a joy trip.

Subject: Our best of Nepal Trip- wonderful experience

Our trip was booked through and arranged by the fine people at Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions. Our itinerary included 3 days in and around Kathmandu, the 6 day trek, 2 days rafting on the Seti river and 3 days on an elephant safari in Chitwan national park - all highly recommended. Mr Pasang Sherpa made all the arrangements and Mr Sumba Sherpa looked after us faultlessly for the two and a half weeks of our stay. We Highly reccomend this tour for all who wants to see nepal well.

Their website is: www.nepaltrekkingtours.com

Our guide, Sumba taught us all manner of things about life in Nepal and showed us some incredible sights so it was only fair that we should in turn pass on some invaluable knowledge to him. During the many chats we had while Anne and Kevin toiled (and Sumba skipped) up hills and down dales, Sumba let it slip that, in addition to speaking excellent English, he also spoke a little French. Nepal is a popular destination for our European neighbours and, if you want business as a guide, you need to speak the lingo. As it turned out Sumba spoke really rather good French but he was unaware of the most important communication tool in the French language. So, without further ado, we launched into Gallic Shrugging lessons. A very quick learner, Sumba was soon a shrugging master.

By the end of the trek we were a fair bit fitter, in awe of the Nepalese great outdoors, charmed by the Nepalese people and, if truth be told, a bit smelly.

Would we have changed anything?
No.

Would we do it again?
Yes indeed. Maybe in spring when the rhododendron forests are in bloom.

Would we recommend it to others?
Absolutely and without hesitation.

Best regards,
Kevin Laxton & Anne Tyrrell, United Kingdom

Subject: A great Annapurna sanctuary trek

In April 2009 we organized a 3 week holiday with "Mountain Sherpa Trekking" to the Annapurna sanctuary and the Jomsom Trek with sightseeing in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Pasang was fantastic in organizing our trip and tailoring it to our needs. Our guide - Kitemba Sherpa was very experienced and looked after us in every possible way. He and his porter were great fun to travel with. We did not know Pasang agency before we found it on the web - the booking and payment arrangements were uncomplicated and safe - the trip was exactly what we hoped for.

Thank you again for making our holiday such an unforgettable experience!

Thank you,

Subject: Annapurna Base camp trek was great!!

Hello Mr. Pasang
How are you? We used your company’s service for our ABC trek last November. It has been a wonderful experience. I must say that our group left Nepal and our friends with a heavy heart. The scenery, the friendly villagers; and your professional yet friendly guide and porters made our trip a memorable one. The majesty of the snow peaks, the sunrise and sunsets against those beautiful peaks and the crisp fresh air for two weeks were just awesome. We enjoyed the selection of the various guesthouses too and especially the often-repeated menu, it made us laugh. We can practically order our food without looking at them after a few days but we do enjoy that too. As Malaysians, we were very happy to find noodles and rice on the mountains!

Your guide (Phurba Sherpa) and the porters (Kaji Karki and Yogen Limbu) were fun to be with. They were caring, professional and above all, they were enthusiastic about the whole adventure. It made a lot of difference to our experience on this beautiful mountain trek. I do look forward to seeing Nepal again soon.

Thanks,
