Gokyo Ri Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek – 20 Days
Gokyo is a small village on the Everest trekking trail in the Solukhumbu district of Nepal. “Ri” refers to peak, so Gokyo Ri—also known as Gokyo Peak (5,357m)—is a pristine trekking hill above the Gokyo Lakes. It is a well-known yet less crowded trail compared to the Everest Base Camp route. The Gokyo Ri Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek is a combination of two of the most beautiful and world-renowned hiking trails located in Sagarmatha National Park: Gokyo Ri and Everest Base Camp. Together, this 20-day trek is one of the best trekking holidays, organized by NETTA with a unique itinerary designed to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
After spending the most comfortable nights in deluxe lodges in Phakding, Monjo, and Namche, your route first follows the second major Khumbu trail toward Gokyo Ri. Here, you’ll enjoy the serene Gokyo Lakes and hike to the top of Gokyo Peak. After completing the Gokyo Ri trek, the trail continues via the less crowded route over Portse village. This trek does not go through the Cho La Pass, as it is a luxury lodge trek focused on comfort and the best available lodges throughout the journey.
The trail from Portse to Pangboche and Dingboche offers fantastic views of Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other majestic peaks. From Dingboche, we follow the classic and famous Everest Base Camp trail through Lobuche and Gorakshep, where we stay one night before reaching our final destinations: Everest Base Camp (EBC) and Kalapatthar.
