Trip Overview

Deluxe Manaslu Circuit Trek - 18 Days

What is the Deluxe Manaslu Circuit Trek and What Makes It Deluxe?

Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest mountain in the world, offers one of the most breathtaking trekking experiences. The trek includes crossing Larke La Pass (5,106m) to connect with the Annapurna Circuit, making it a remarkable journey through the Manaslu Conservation Area. This region is remote and moderately challenging, regulated under a restricted trekking trail that requires a special trekking permit.

The Deluxe Manaslu Circuit Trek organized by NETTA begins with an overland jeep drive to Sotikhola-Arughat in the Gorkha district, which takes approximately 9–10 hours. We will need to present our special trekking permits to enter the area. While the lodgings along this route are typically simple guest houses or homestays, we carefully select the best available accommodations to ensure a deluxe experience with top-notch services.

During this trek, we traverse the high Larke La Pass and join the famous Annapurna Circuit before concluding our journey in Besisahar. As there are no road connections along this route, we will take a local jeep from Dharapani to Besisahar and Kathmandu. One of the most appealing aspects of this trek is that you will start and finish in different locations, allowing for a unique experience without repeating any days on the same trail. This feature adds significant value for trekkers.

Moreover, the Manaslu trekking trail sees fewer trekkers compared to popular routes like Annapurna or Everest, thanks to its remoteness, the special permit system, and restrictions on individual backpacker trekkers. This makes the Manaslu Circuit a true hidden gem for those seeking an unforgettable adventure.

Is This Trekking for Me? How Difficult Is the Deluxe Manaslu Circuit Trek?

The Deluxe Manaslu Circuit Trek is classified as moderate to difficult. Trekkers with some experience in walking, alpine routes, or hiking should find it manageable. The highest point on this trek is Larke La Pass (5,106m), and daily walking hours range from 6 to 7 hours, depending on the altitude. If you are fit and prepared to walk for 6-7 hours a day at a moderate pace, we warmly welcome you to this grand adventure!
