Trip Overview

Deluxe Langtang Gosaikunda Lake trek-17 days>> The highly reccomended trek in Langtang region of Nepal

What is the Deluxe Langtang Gosaikunda Lake Trek and what makes it Deluxe?

Deluxe The Langtang Gosaikunda Lake trek is a 17-day well-crafted itinerary for a deluxe trekking experience in the Langtang National Park of Nepal. We start this wonderful 17-day adventure trekking from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi by an overland drive of about 8–9 hours. The best experience of this whole trek is that you will start the trek from one place and end the trek at another place without repeating the same trekking trail. The route of the first week of this trek is normally known as the Langtang Valley Trek, where you will reach the highest point of Tserko Ri. Kyanjin Gomba is the last lodge area of this first week trek to enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas.  According to physical demand, this trek is moderate in level.

The second part of this luxury trek in the Langtang region is the Gosaikunda lake trek, popularly known as the abode of the Hindu deities Shiva and Gauri. This holy lake is located at an altitude of 4380m and offers the best Himalayan views. The rest of the trek is after Gosaikunda lake. The next trekking area is the Helambu valley, with typical villages and culture of the Helambu people. The trek leads you to Shivapuri national park, the closest national park to Kathmandu city. The last days of the trek around Chisapani, which is the finest hilly area of Kathmandu, offer one of the great views of mountains.

Overall, this is a combination of four short treks in one 17-day deluxe trek in the Langtang trekking area: Langtang valley, Gosaikunda lake, Helambu trek, and Chisapani trek. You will enjoy the most beautiful trekking holidays in two national parks of Nepal: Langtang National Park and Shivapuri National Park. The accommodation on the whole trek is not too luxurious but, in many places, we can offer deluxe lodges or guesthouses throughout the trek.

Is this trekking for me? How difficult is the Deluxe Langtang Gosaikunda lake trek?

Geographically, this trekking trail is not that demanding. You will enjoy the best experience of this trek at an altitude of less than 5000m in the whole trekking period. The daily trekking or hiking time is about 6–8 hours a day, which is not too long. Previous trekking experience will be supported for this trek, but all fresher trekkers may join this trek. Physical fitness training of daily walking, jogging, or running has extra advantages. Any aged group can do this trek.

The best season for the Deluxe Langtang Gosaikunda lake trek:

Nepal offers basically 4 weather seasons: winter, spring, summer (or monsoon) and autumn.
