Mera Peak Climbing - 19 Nights/ 20 Days

Full Board Trip Cost:  USD 2520 per person       Group Size: From 2 - 6 Persons

Mera Peak (6,476m/ 22,242ft) is the highest trekking peak in Nepal situated at the east of Khumbu valley & Mt. Everest. Mera Peak Climbing is little challenging with great adventure. Mera Peak is one of the technical trekking Peaks so you should have some climbing or mountaineering experience previously to join with this Itinerary. Mountaineers who plan to go for higher peak climbing above 7000m can start their 1st climbing from Mera peak to gain enough climbing technique & mountaineering experience before heading up for those high peaks. It ranks among the most rewarding peak climbing in Nepal and leads to a true mountaineering experience. Jimmy Roberts and Sen Tenzing made the first successful ascent of Mera Peak on 20 May 1953. The route they used is still the standard route.Mera Peak Climbing However there are many other routes crossing over high & difficult passes which lead you to the Base Camp & Summit of Mera Peak. We established a last high camp on the Mera la, a stunning view point before to make a successful summit. The views from the summit are dramatic along with Mt. Everest; the unclimbed south face of Lhotse and Nuptse on the north and Kanchanjunga, chamlang and Makalu on the east. Our itinerary starts after Trans Himalayan flight to incline airstrip Lukla and continue further to the east following through fascinating Sherpa Villages to Mira Base Camp (5,099m/16,729ft) situated at the base of an immense glacier leading to the Mera La Pass. The climb from Mera La to the Summit is gradual with outstanding mountain views. After a successful summit, we take a short cut route back to Lukla and take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu.

With Mountain Sherpa Trekking & Expeditions, you can expect the very best service and specialist knowledge on your Mera Peak climbing expedition. Mera peak Expedition- April/May 2007
“ Pasang,
Thank you for a well run trek. Our guide was very experienced and was quite sensible about our approach, especially compared to some of the other guides. Overall, the trek was an awesome experience, something I will never forget. There is something amazing about standing on top of one of Nepal's peaks and looking out over the land. Thank you for organizing the opportunity for that to happen for us. ”
