The Karnali River
Experience of exploring the Karnali will tell you that it is one of the most incredible journeys of life. The River, in volume is the largest and longest in Nepal and the upper sections are rarely explored. Along the lower section the river takes a sharp turn from south to north, often called the Western Bend. At this point the river can be accessed and an incredible adventure through deep gorges and remote regions begins.The upper Karnali, better known as the Humla Karnali rises in Tibet from the holy peak, Mount Kailash some very experienced expedition groups can run upper sections. These normally start with a charter flight to Simikot and then sixteen to twenty days to the take out at Chisopani. The Lower Karnali can be run in five to seven days and still proves a major river journey that has got to fall in the category of being one of the best in the world.
Day 01 Leave Kathmandu
Day 02 05:00 arrive Surkhet. Trek option: begin trekking straight away. Camp at school halfway to river.
Day 03 Continue Trek to river arriving early afternoon, On to the river for an hour or two, Camp.
Day 04 River to above jungle Ghat
Day 05 Visit Jungle Ghat village, river to above the Jungle Corridor
Day 06 The big day - God's house rapid and others.
Day 07 Out of the Jungle Corridor
Day 08 Steady float to confluence of the Bheri river
Day 09 Half day to Chisopani, leave mid-afternoon.
Day 10 Arrive Kathmandu lunch time / afternoon
Marsyangdi - The Raging River

Nick named as the 'Raging river', It starts to the north of the Annapurna range initially travelling southeast and then south below Chame. Under the shadow of the mighty Manaslu the river put-in, close to Ngadi, is an amazing place with incredible views on this, the early section of the 21-day Annapurna circuit trek.

This is the timetable for a trip leaving early season and may take slightly longer later in the autumn.

Day 01 Bus for Pokhara to Dumre, then Besishahar.
Day 02 Trek from Besishahar to Ngadi, arriving mid afternoon
Day 03 River day 1 to beyond Besishahar
Day 04 River day 2 to beyond Bhoteodar
Day 05 River day 3 to take out - Bimalnagar, bus to Pokhara.
Kayaking

Bhotekoshi Kayak School (4 days kayaking- beginner and intermediate course)
The camp is well set up with finest equipment and experienced instructor. The school offers beginners and intermediate course in this exciting river. The course is conducted with minimum 3 participants.

Seti River Kayak Clinic (4 days)
With the support and guidance of our internationally certified instructors, we can make your introduction to kayakingenjoyable and positive. Flowing blue and warm, the Seti River meanders through an isolated wilderness of contorted limestone gorges, forest and small rapids.
